Misyar Marriage in Pakistan

What is Misyar Marriage in Pakistan?

Many people ask us what misyar marriage is in Pakistan. This is a type of marriage in which the wife waives some or all of her legal rights. When someone gets married in Pakistan, rights and duties are established on the shoulders of the spouse. The husband has the duty to pay a monthly allowance to the wife, and the wife has the right to get food, shelter, protection, a dower amount, and sex from the husband. It is the religious and legal duty of the husband to provide these things to the wife.

Islam also says that if you marry more than one wife, then all your wives should get equal treatment in terms of finance, food, shelter, and relationship, and if you do not maintain equality, it will be a sin. At the same time, Islam considers marriage a contract between the husband and the wife. In a contract of marriage, the wife can forgive or waive any of her legal and religious rights. Waiving her legal and religious rights makes the marriage a Misyar marriage in Pakistan.

WHAT RIGHTS CAN BE WAIVED:

The marriage is a contract between the husband and the wives. Some rights and duties are guaranteed by the law and religion, but the wife also has the right to waive any or some of her legal or religious rights. A contract is always bilateral, so if both the husband and the wife are ready to waive some or all of their rights, then no one should have an objection to it.

REGISTRATION OF MARRIAGE:

The misyar marriage in Pakistan is like other marriages. This marriage is not different from other marriages. This marriage will be registered in the same way as other marriages. When you register this marriage, you get the same marriage certificate in Pakistan. On the certificate, it is not mentioned that this is a misyar marriage.
