Many of the people wonders that what the law about unmarried couples in Pakistan is. Let us inform you that there is no such law for the unmarried couples in Pakistan. Different laws applies in the different ways for the unmarried people. For example the law of court marriage in Pakistan is different for the unmarried people and different for the married people. A married man should obtain the permission from the first wife to obtain the services of court marriage or online marriage in Pakistan. He cannot even do a simple nikah without the permission of the first wife.

 

No Specific law:

As there is no unmarried couple law in Pakistan but still different laws can have different implications on a married person and on an unmarried person. The laws which deal with marriage, divorce, zina, fornication can have different implications on an unmarried person. What is the law about unmarried couples in Pakistan depends on the nature of the law. For example an unmarried person cannot have divorce in Pakistan. To get divorce first he should be married. An unmarried person whether male or female can legally live with the other male or female. The law in Pakistan does not restrict an unmarried person to not live with the other. However if a male is living with a female without any marriage then if a female takes it as opportunity she can file a case of Zina in Pakistan (Rape) against the male which can drag such male in the legal implications. It is always recommended for a bachelors male and female to live with each other only if they are married with each other.  A living relationship can case legal implications to each other as there is no such unmarried couple law in Pakistan.

 

A person is said to be unmarried when he is not married to anyone and is a major. When he is not a major then it means that he is a minor. There are different laws for a minor in Pakistan. No such unmarried couple law in Pakistan exists. Legally the unmarried couples can live with each other either temporary or permanently but it can have some legal implications. It is always better to avoid such livings. Yes unmarried couples can stay in hotels in Pakistan legally but the rules are that most of the hotel managements gives rooms to married couples only. The hotel management don’t wants to get involved in any legal implications so mostly they give rooms to married couples only. You are also considered unmarried when you are officially issued a divorce certificate in Pakistan.
